Dennis was welcomed into the "Neighborhood Old Farts Club" as I call them. His buddies Lenny and Roger decided everyone
should know it was his 60th birthday. Can't wait until after dark...there will be a lot of honking and flashing....the most he's heard
and seen for years!
Dennis's wish for his birthday was to have all his family together (or at least as many as could be there). And it was almost complete...missing
were one granddaughter Mara, Ruth's husband Jeremy and Melissa's family from Las Vegas. The weather couldn't have been more
perfect. We spent the day at Joel's playing volleyball, kick ball, enjoying lots of good food and just being a family.
My birthday started a day early with flowers from the Romaine's in Vegas (so I could enjoy them). And then the Flamingo's came back...my
kids planned a SURPRISE 60th birthday party for me on February 10th, 2012 at Birchwood Grill. Friends (old and
new) and family were there to celebrate my BIG 60th. My children gave me a very special children / grandchildren bracelet engraved
with their names and studded with diamonds. It is such a treasured piece of jewelry to me - especially with the meaning behind it.
Getting older can be fun!

And now he's "65"

There was no big party but just a quieet supper with friends at the Hill's Still Supper Club upnorth. Of course, the man man
now needs a cane to get around!
Skylar helped her mom make his day special with a cook out and his favorite German Chocolate
Cake to end a perfect birthday weekend.
